This is a couple of lines I've used for a while but don't think I ever posted. It lets M-x ffap act on perl pod filename markup like
F</etc/passwd>
I imagine < and > as non-filename chars would get almost the same
effect, though ffap-pod-F.el also works with point on the "F" and it
understands pod E<> and Z<> escapes potentially in such markup.
