Version 1.8.4 of package Gtags-Mode has just been released in GNU ELPA. You can now find it in M-x list-packages RET.

Unlike the other packages; this module does not create extra special maps, bindings or menus, but just adds support to the mentioned features to use gtags/global as a backend when possible.
