-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 BLAG is currently recommended on <https://www.gnu.org/distros/free-distros.html>. This doesn't make sense to me, especially now that Ututo has been removed due to being unmaintained.
There hasn't been an official announcement saying that BLAG is unmaintained, but it's obvious that it is and has been for more than a year. The latest release was 2.5 years ago, and based on Fedora 14, which reached end-of-life 2 years ago. In addition, if you look at the forums, you will find that the BLAG community is not very active, and the people there don't even use BLAG; they use custom modifications of Fedora instead (adding Freed-ora and BLAG themes). I've tried BLAG before, and it's no good because the software is so old and unmaintained. For example, it has an old short-term-support version of some Firefox variant (Iceweasel, I think, and I want to say version 5, but I'm not sure), which means it doesn't work with many Firefox add-ons today. I also recall the repositories being broken, though I don't know if that was just a temporary problem. The only reason I can think of for using BLAG is to have an RPM-based system, and anyone who cares that much about it probably won't have any problem using Fedora/Freed-ora. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJStD6VAAoJELP1a+89AVMCToYH/jg3GShmKp5rR4oGyNKhrWNb fhrPmpgP4dBpUjUXzsXiqvBPAefohn9AJfi9EuT6dyqxErV15mEW8xIu4lkOTCGB m2qR8J7aIeXL8w5c0UDxx6YmvAOaCAOijMoGm3jPvuR/tV1FPNV/T0cndaKWITZE xyCy80zWtEKuQhKIPVMofTJNSberjiJAim7iaTm+BMry6UIhaxqM0OmI6s2gpAVg ltI8BM08mR+XguuI7ak46wsxygEDQpqTKoKHTMBGfsWxmZCD62AladEE8mETre7I oJIf74vKyM5T42XRD37ddq93Yc29xx2qm3GLTedBpwciFcVfmT2OBNShYw07VHI= =lXeT -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
