4pm this Sunday, August 13th, Per Scholas and Solar One will be hosting an Electronics Recycling event at Solar One's space at 23rd St and the East River in Manhattan. True to Per Scholas' mission, the goal will be to refurbish and reuse as much of what is received as possible so that it can be re-deployed in the community. So bring all your old and unwanted items and help the environment and the community - we'll be accepting desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, peripherals, scanners, cell phones, fax machines and other electronic equipment. As per New York State rules, we will only be accepting items from households - we can not accept items from corporations or other commercial enterprises. Here's a link to a map and directions: http://www.solar1.org/about/map/index.html This event is being held in conjunction with CitySol: http://www.citysol.org which will run from Noon-8pm and feature free music all day; a series of exhibits covering everything from wind power to congestion pricing; a Green Power Sign-Up Drive with ConEd Solutions; and a green product marketplace including clothing, housewares, food, beer from Brooklyn Brewery and more. _________________________________________________________________ You received this message as a subscriber on the list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To be removed from the list, send any message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For all list information and functions, including changing your subscription mode and options, visit the Web page: http://list.nten.org/lists/info/501techclub-ny </blockquote> Distributed poC TINC: Jay Sulzberger <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Corresponding Secretary LXNY LXNY is New York's Free Computing Organization. http://www.lxny.org _______________________________________________ gnu-misc-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/gnu-misc-discuss
