    A positive, assertive statement may be better. Like: "Assuring
Freedom for All"

    I agree "Surrender" is problematic but I think the GPL means it as
"You (a distributer/propagator) can not ask/require recipients to
surrender any freedoms". It might be slightly more accurate to state
this as "No Usurping Others' Freedom".
