Yep.  

This worked.....but only because I happened to want a chord with a
duration equal to 2 whole notes.  What if I wanted a chord with
duration equal to 2.5 whole notes?  Or 2.75 whole notes?  Or some
other odd length that can't be obtained by using binary note lengths
with dots?
