One more qestion:
Is there a way to instruct lily to put a particular tie upside down,
that is make it hang down while it's saddle point was up before?
To give you some context:
I'm going to typeset choir music and if I do something like

\type Staff = bass \notes { \clef "bass" ; < 
        \type Voice = tenor \property Voice.ydirection = "1" 
                { a4 [a8 a] ~ [a a] }
        \type Voice = bass  \property Voice.ydirection = "-1" 
                { d4 [d8 d] ~ [d d] } > }

for the bass staff I get the two ties with bow up. But I think it would
look much nicer if the upper tie had bow up and the lower tie had bow
down.
