No, I used the tgz distribution. The following changes should help (I had
no time to look through the whole make process so they might be a
workaround):
edit configure.in and replace AC_DEFINE_UNQUOTED(PACKAGE, "${PACKAGE}")
by AC_DEFINE_UNQUOTED(PACKAGE, "lilypond") and after that
add a line PACKAGE=lilypond.
Alternatively you could set an environment variable "PACKAGE=lilypond".
Rerun autoconf and configure - then these errors should disappear.
