i'll give it a try. i've added:
0 * * * * /usr/sbin/tmpwatch 3 /tmp/lilypond_cgi/*
to root's crontab, so everyone everyone's files will be available for
3 hours after they generate them. if that becomes a problem, i'll
lower the threshhold.
