( I sent this mail once before, but it was not returned to me, so I
don't no whether it arrived. Sending it a second time )
I'm typesetting choir music and I have some problems to get the lyrics
parts the way I like:
1. Imagine a piece with a short refrain and, say, two verses.
If I'd like to have the lyrics written in the middle of a GrandStaff,
how can I achieve during the refrain I have only one lyrics line
switching to three for the verses. Pictorially:
women o o o o o o o o o o o
ref bla bla bla bla
men o o o o o o o o o o o
women o o o o o o o o o o o
verse1 some more bla bla
verse2 some other bla bla
men o o o o o o o o o o o
2. Then, related to the first problem, I sometimes like to have more
vertical spacing between the two staves to make the score better
readable. But if I use the minVerticalAlign property, the first of
the two verses gets attached to the upper stave and the second to
the lower leaving much space in between the two verses
women o o o o o o o o o o
verse1 bla bla bla bla
|:-(
verse2 bla bla bla bla
men o o o o o o o o o o
while I'd like to have it this way:
women o o o o o o o o o o
verse1 bla bla bla bla
verse2 bla bla bla bla 8-)
men o o o o o o o o o o
Didn't I check the docu carefully enough?
Or are there some examples for something like this?
Any hints are welcome.
Thanks in advance, David
P.S. I don't have an example here at hand, but if necessary I could
send one.
