1. Yes, \property Score.minVerticalAlign="xx"; changes the space between the
staffs; but when I have lyrics between two staffs the effect does not
satisfy me. The space between the first staff and the lyrics line is
bigger than between the lyrics line and the second staff :-( Can I change
this?
2. I think a single note b' (in violin key) can be stemdown or stemup. I
would like it to be always stemdown. Can I configure my lilypond to do
so? If I have [b'8 g'] the notes should be stemup. With lilypond-1.0.2
they are stemdown. Is this changed in newer versions?
