Take a look at the example in lilypond-1.1.xx/mutopia/D.Zipoli/verso_2.ly.

It is in e.g. german and swedish, but it seems that the dutch convention
is the same as the english. Since the main authors or Lilypond are
dutch, I guess they did it correct.
