   I plan on releasing a new "stable" release in a few weeks, so I'd
   really like you to dive into the latest LilyPonds and to hunt for
   big bugs, small bugs, documentation lapses and every other kind of
   nitgritty detail that should be OK for a Big Release.  I've set the
   tentative release date at August, 1.

I would be really happy if a `make dvi' in the Documentation/tex
directory finally succeeds...  I'm one of the old-fashioned guys who
want to read the docs first before trying something.
