Dear list,
following advice from Werner Lemberg, I will start making xdeltas
available for the tarballs of LilyPond. xdelta is like diff(1) and
patch(1) combined, but more efficient.
Usage:
xdelta patch lilypond-1.1.54-1.1.55.xd lilypond-1.1.54.tar.gz
produces lilypond-1.1.55.tar.gz, just identical (up to compression
dates) to the one on the FTP site. The advantages are obvious:
-rw-r--r-- 1 hanwen staff 185342 Jul 9 15:09 lilypond-1.1.55.diff.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 hanwen staff 44119 Jul 9 15:09 lilypond-1.1.54-1.1.55.xd
