We have had trouble with os.getpid() on the windows platform. I have
made changes to ly2dvi to avoid using os.getpid(). ly2dvi version 0.13
has been used since lilypond-1.1.60. If you are as courageous as I
think you are, you could replace ly2dvi.py with the enclosed file. I
will be releasing the windows binary distribution of lilypond-1.2.0
sometime this week, ly2dvi-0.13 will obviously be in that distribution.

|Could the reason be that I'm executing within win98 and not win95 ? I've
|installed python v. 1.5.1. I attach the ly2dvi log file.

This is a great opportunity! I don't have windows 98 here. I have a
dual boot Windows NT/95. If you could help me check things out on 98
it would be appreciated.
