I saw a piece from v1.20 which had several instances of two adjacent
notes in two parts. In music engraving, it is always correct to put the
upper note of a second on the right when they are on the same stem, and
there are no exceptions. (You may be interested to know that music
copyists had exceptions.) However, if they are on different stems the
upper note should be on the left, and the stems should line up
vertically. The fact that they did not line up made every instance look
*very* odd. If the stems did not line up because it was considered in
some way to be a collision, that should be fixed, because it ought to be
considered that there is no collision, and it is incorrect if the stems
are not aligned vertically. They absolutely should not be offset to any
degree whatever, regardless of any setting you may have to offset
collisions. They are not collisions. It is true that the two stems look
like one long stem. So what? That's the way it has always been done, and
that's the way it is supposed to look. My abject apologies for wasting
bandwidth if this is something the user did wrong. I was looking at a
finished product, more or less. :-)
