I am using midi2ly (version 1.3.46.jbr1) with the midi file at

         http://tch.simplenet.com/mid/h/hyfrydol.mid

with the options....

         midi2ly -p -n --smallest=16 -x --key=-1

the "-n" means "not silly" however, the output is very silly. It has
several measures such as....

         % 8
         \times 11/12 { a2. } \skip 16; |
         % 9
         \times 7/8 { f2 } \skip 16; c4 |
         % 10
         \skip 4.; bes16. \times 9/8 { c'4 } |

This causes dozens of....

warning: Spanner `Tuplet_spanner' has equal left and right spanpoints

and strange looking output.

Does anyone have a better version of midi2ly? I tried version 1.3.75
however it does not even run. It crashes with an error "The MIDI2LY.EXE
file is linked to missing export CYGWIN1.DLL:_ctype_."

Can anyone suggest a better transcription tool?

For instance, a midi->midi tool that fixes the durations so that midi2ly
will work better?

Or for instance, a midi->XXX tool and an XXX->mudela tool? where XXX is
any intermediate format.

Thanks in advance.
