A patch to solve the problem was posted by Han-Wen yesterday
(Subject: Problems with make -f debian/rules on 1.3.93).
An alternative is to go to the Lilypond WWW page, click on
"Documentation" and download the documentation in the form of
a gzipped postscript file.
