I understood from the Windows web pages that lilypond.exe from the untar was a CreateInstall self-installing program. Nope, it's the final program - lilypond K001.LY gets down to work! Thanks, Mats. Lily "can't find default font 'cmr10'", the native PostScript font I've been using to keep the .ps file size down, so I'll hunt that up (obviously, it *was* on my Linux disk that's gone) and put it with the other miktex fonts. Do I need to add it to any def files? And, latex announces "lilyponddefs.tex not found" - if someone could tell me where miktex expects to find the link to lily's tex, I'd appreciate it. But, <touch wood> I'm almost there :) John _______________________________________________ Gnu-music-discuss mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/gnu-music-discuss
