Identifier should have alphabetic characters only

I've just compiled 1.3.149, and now it says :

defs.ly:6:19: erreur: Identifier should have  alphabetic characters only:
f0 = #'(finger "0")

And well, it really annoys me :-) Is there a good reason behind this
or can we go back to alphanumeric characters ?
