Hello,
Just to let you know that the latest lilypond-1.4.2 has been built
for Debian. Depending on which version of Debian GNU/Linux you are
using, here are the methods to get the lilypond-1.4.2 Debian packages:
Debian "stable" (potato, 2.2 - 2.2r3)
-------------------------------------
Well, you are lucky, because I have decided to compile lilypond
for Debian 2.2 (potato) for the very last time. :-) Get it at:
http://people.debian.org/~foka/lilypond/
lilypond_1.4.2-0potato1_i386.deb
lilypond-doc_1.4.2-1_all.deb
Debian "unstable" (sid)
-----------------------
Just login as root, and
# apt-get update
# apt-get install lilypond lilypond-doc
Oh, the convenience of being on the bleeding edge. :-)
Debian "testing" (woody)
------------------------
lilypond-1.4.2 won't get into woody until 10 days later,
so, until then, go to:
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/tex/lilypond.html
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/doc/lilypond-doc.html
or directly download the debs at:
http://http.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/l/lilypond/
lilypond_1.4.2-1_i386.deb
lilypond-doc_1.4.2-1_all.deb
(as well as some 1.4.1 debs for m68k, powerpc and sparc.)
Enjoy!
Anthony
