I've never been able to get dynamics to end up in the midi output. I
have used versions 1.3.145 and 1.4.1. Midi files from other sources
(not lilypond) produce dynamically variable sound, but not lilypond
outputs. I have tried the test samples
"dynamic-dir.ly" and "absolute-volume.ly" without success. I have tried
both "playmidi" and "kmid" to play the output.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
