Last time I built gnucap was on Fedora 7; now on Fedora 9, it appears the termcap library is missing. Apparently termcap is not a part of Fedora 9; the Fedora website lists termcap 1.1 as "dead.package", with last log entry "-retire termcap".
The build successfully completes, but attempting to execute gnucap produces: $ gnucap gnucap: error while loading shared libraries: libtermcap.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Is this a known problem? Is there a workaround (other than simply building and installing Fedora 8 libtermcap)? al davis wrote:
