Go for it.  Just modify the readme (or remind me to modify the readme)
to explain the new proceedure, and how to build this stuff.  

Also, for the 1.2 release, I want to avoid having to answer email that goes
"I just clicked on reports and nothing happened". (since that is what
killing swig/eperl would do.)
