If I remember corectly, some versions of gnucash used a weird version
of guile, named guile-core-<some number here>.rpm . They only compiled
with that version of guile.
The latest CVS tree compiles with guile 1.3 but I'm not sure that gnucash
version 1.1.27 does so.
