Hi,

I'd like to comment on some changes I'd like to see in the dialogs of the gnome
version. I'll try to code them if I find the time (or if I'm good enough) but
I think these small changes would really help to improve the user-friendlyness.

First, when the user tries to open a file that doesn't exist, a dialog should
appear asking him if he wants to start a new session with this file (instead of
saying that the file is empty).

I also came across the folling dialog while trying to open an invalid file
"Error. This file appear to be from a newer version of GnuCash. Do you
want to continue?". However, there's only an "OK" button. The user should be
able to answer no to that question !

Finally, I wondered if someone else would find useful a tool to calculate the
amortization on a loan (monthly payments). I'd be willing to do it (if only I
can find the formula... I know I have it somewhere!!)

That's it for now ! Just a few complains/suggestions to introduce myself to
this list :)
