Yeah.  I just switched to using the gnome panel and gnome session
management (though I don't really care about the session features, and
may kill them if they get in my way), and I wanted to use scwm as my
window manager.  Unfortunately, the gnome stuff and scwm don't play
nice ATM so I had to use enlightenment instead.

After I switched enlightenment to a less ornamented theme than the
default (didn't like all those on-screen buttons), I was *really*
surprised at how far the integration between the gnome panel and
enlightenment has come, and how configurable things are just via the
gnome-control-center and enlightenment's e-conf tools.

In the long run, though, I still think I might prefer scwm.

We'll see.  Maybe I can do that.  The problem is that to get readline
to work it expects a terminal with sufficiently powerful commands to
clear lines, etc.  I'm not sure if Gnome has one of those as a widget
and if it doesn't, writing such a beast might be substantial work.
