Thanks for the response. I've applied the same method in getting gnucash
to work with a similar number of downloads and for nearly as many months.
It's frustrating especially considering it's one of the last "mission
critical" apps I need to be totally M$ free. I'd be willing to pay
>$50 (the cost of M$ Money/Quicken) <$150 (The cost of Motif) for a
stable, functional release. I don't know what the demand is for this
but I imagine it's pretty high. My guess is many people have put in
alot of hours trying to find and match all the necessary sources or
a simple RPM and failed. If the gnome/gtk dropped right into a box
methinks gnucash would be all the rage. Right now, it's just kind of
a teaser.
I'm not complaining or bashing the people who have invested (no pun)
time in writing this. It's just a suggestion to increase popularity
of a very cool idea.
