I have one more suggestion augmenting my patch: perhaps
gnc_ui_shutdown() shut set the ui_data variable to NULL after calling
XtDestroyWidget() to protect against cases where it gets called
twice. Or is gnc_ui_shutdown() guaranteed to only be called once?
