I just noticed more display problems.. again, I'm running the CVS
version with the last 8 patches as sent to gnucash-patches (except for
the gtk_html stuff).. my system is:
- rh 6.0
- gtk/gdk 1.2.6-1
- nana 2.3-2
- XmHTML 1.1.5-1
can't think of what else is relevant.. anyways..
I added four transactions dated 11/22 under expense / miscellaneous..
however, I entered those today 11/23.. they all have the same
description..
1) here's the original output of the exp / misc. register window:
date, from, expense, bal
- ......
- 11/21, Amex, 11.35, -261.35
- 11/22, Checking, 50, -311.35
2) adding first txn which is dated 11/22 from Amex for $24 produces:
- ......
- 11/21, Amex, 11.35, -261.35
- 11/22, AmEx, 24, -285.35 ** txn 1 **
- 11/22, Checking, 50, -335.35
2) adding second txn which is also dated 11/22 from Amex for $24 produces:
- ......
- 11/21, Amex, 11.35, -261.35
- 11/22, AmEx, 24, -285.35 ** txn 1 **
- 11/22, AmEx, 24, -309.35 ** txn 2 **
- 11/22, Checking, 50, -359.35
3) adding third txn which is also dated 11/22 from Amex for $24 produces:

this is looking good so far.. however, when I open the AmEx register
at this point, I get:

notice the ordering and balance...
A couple of other things not related:
- when using the "From" pulldown, even though the blank field at the
top seems to be selected (implying one can scroll), this is not
possible until I click on an entry.. FYI, I use a logitech mouse man w
/ wheel to scroll.. also, once I make my final selection, the menu
sticks and can only be dismissed by clicking somewhere like the
description field.. this makes it very cumbersome to use..
- if one starts entering a transaction, but then hits "Cancel" and
dismisses the register window, upon reopening it, it shows two blank
transactions at the bottom..
