Notes: how up-to-date is the documentation in Docs/en ? I started to look at
that
directory so that I could point Jared to it, but I don't see a lot of 'getting
started' information.

I downloaded the 1.2.4 RPM and installed it. It starts just fine. However,
nowhere could I find documentation on how to start a new accounts file. Here is
what I did:
File->New File (Nothing happens)
File->Save. I type in "myaccount", and OK. The screen closes, but no file is
created.
Account->New Account (works quite well, so I close that window)
Now I have a new account.
File->Save (still, this doesn't work)
File->Save As (this doesn't work either)
How am I supposed to use this thing if I can't even get it to start a new data
file? Perhaps you need to provide documentation on how to get started/setup.
