Switch the register to Multi-line mode. Enter your socks on the second
line of the blank split and hit record. Now you have a new transaction
with the socks and another blank line. Enter the air freshener on that
blank line and record again. Now, the total for the transaction will
be socks + air freshener.
btw, the air freshener I understand, but what does your car need with socks? :)
