Some time ago, as theGnuCash readme records, I produced a basic set of ASCII
reports for X-Accountant, one of GnuCash's ancestors. This set comprises trial
balance, profit & loss, balance sheet and transaction list. They will need
minor changes to handle differences between X-Accountant and GnuChas data
structure, but this shouldn't be much. 

You can get the reports from my web page. I suggest you have a look and see if
they look like they will suit. If there is interest then I'll see if I
can upgrade them.
