now it highlights! with the mouse, and with the quickfill.

Rob> quickfill problems.

Rob> I have a "bugs" .xac file which i use for all of my testing, so

Rob> couple of accounts, one cash, one bank account. In my bank
Rob> register, I currently have one description of abcdefg and two of
Rob> asdf, with abcdefg coming before either asdf description. I type
Rob> in a, and the field looks like a|sdf . I hit b and it looks like
Rob> ab|cdefg . Both of these are cool. I hit ctrl-k, and it becomes
Rob> ab| . all of this is cool. I type c, and it reads abc|defg .
Rob> This is good. However, never do I see any highlighting. The
Rob> highlighting thing is minor, I feel, compared to the next one.
Rob> Continuing with the last problem, I hit ctrl-e, and it reads
Rob> abcdefg| . I notice that the debug output is interesting, since
Rob> it didn't update with something like the following:

Rob> "Debug: xaccGetQuickFill(): index = 2", like it has been doing as
Rob> I was typing everything else. What turned me on to this problem
Rob> was the fact that if I clicked at the end of the entry, and hit
Rob> ctrl-h a few times, so that the description would be a , if I
Rob> were to type b, it would not do a quickfill. I wondered why, and
Rob> after looking at the debug output, it looks like the ctrl-h is
Rob> not being registered as a change in location, or something like
Rob> that.

Rob> Quickfill does seem to work okay if I use ctrl-d or ctrl-u to
Rob> edit the line, which is heartening.

well, the quickfill works if i do the ctrl-h now, and if i backspace,
it works too.

hooray! now i can get caught up on the checkbook ;-)
