I downloaded gnucash-1.2.5.tar.gz and found a /src directory which
contained, among other things, /lesstif, and /g-wrap. Would /g-wrap be the
Gnome version? I saw nothing else that suggested itself to me.

Would that be gnucash-1.2.5.tar.gz?

I think I got the right thing.  It starts out;

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

Here is my latest patch. It contains the following.

Bug Tracker Bug IDs Fixed: 60

         Notes:

+ This patch is based on current CVS.

+ This patch requires you to run autoconf and configure.

         New Stuff:

+ Used Matt Martin's guile error catching code to print
intelligent error messages when loading .scm files.

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

And continues with some other information about what the patch does. Then
it has:

         begin 664 gnucash.diff.gz
         M'XL(")&^DC@"`V=N=6-A<V@N9&EF9@"\6VUSV[:R_AS_"MR<#VYJB?);DL;7

(several gallons of alphabet soup snipped)

         @&T:[!'Y1@H6PWP/8;`PG3]BD8"\EL/\%I%W#,C%]!0``
         `
         end

This I suppose must be the patch. Is this the correct patch I am looking
for? I pasted everything from begin 664 gnucash.diff.gz to end to a file
but it would neither gunzip nor uudecode. When I tried to uudecode it the
file was emptied.

gnome-libs-devel appears to be installed on my system.

I downloaded lesstif-0.88.1-1.i386.rpm and installed it. Rpm complained of
a conflict with lesstif-current-1999.28.01 so I uninstalled that and then
installed the 0.88.1 rpm. I still cannot import my .qif file and it seems
that now it is sligthly more difficult to open my existing gnucash file. I
have to go to /root/.gnucash/data/ and open it there.

Thanks,
