Well, Tyson's keeping a pretty recent gnucash .deb available, so for
Debian users who have "unstable" (i.e. woody) listed in their
/etc/apt/sources.list file, you can just run "apt-get install gnucash"
and get a Feb 04 CVS version and all the supporting packages
automagically downloaded and installed.
With respect to handling patches, CVS access, and non-Debian packages,
stay tuned. There's actually some work afoot right now that should
take Linas out of the "critical patch path" fairly soon. I think it's
also nearly time to talk about what needs to be done before releasing
an updated (non CVS) version.
And for those commenting that it sounds like things have gotten a lot
better in CVS (vs the current stable version). There's no doubt about
that. People have been doing *great* work.
