There is also information on Palm and Linux available from

However, the information on conduits (which is what we're really
interested in doing) isn't there yet :(

The library looks like it hasn't had much
development for a while, but from my (preliminary) look it appears it
does exactly what is needed for the job.  There are additional specs
downloadable from Palm themselves, apparently.

Probably, if we do this in C.  However, apparently Rob Browning was 
talking about an alternative approach using guile a while ago.  
I'm sending this mail to him, so hopefully he'll be forthcoming with more
details.
