Split transactions have existed for a while. Try the following:
* Enter an account, and go to Register->Style->MultiLine.
This will show multi-line information on all transactions,
and the details of all splits will be visible. If you
enter a new transaction and hit enter, you can also
enter details into a split-box (by default coloured a light
green). You can enter as many splits for a single transaction
as you like. If you hit enter without filling in any details
for a split, the transaction will be recorded and you can
enter the next transaction.
* Enter an account, and go to Register->Style->Auto Single.
This will display one-line entries in the register, but
your currently selected transaction will also show splits.
Entering new transactions and splits works the same way
as in MultiLine mode. Auto Single is the mode I prefer.
You can also change your default mode settings in Settings->Preferences->
Register->Default Register Mode.
