I suppose, although I was really intending that as a last-resort
kind of measure. I mean, there already is a way to set the
default locale, it's the same for all programs, you just set
the LANG environment variable. In Graham's case, his system
was coming up with some strange values in the absence of a
default locale setting.
If the user doesn't know about the locale settings, they won't
really know what to put as the default. And if they do, well,
it won't be a problem :)
