The impression I get from reading the help to the Import Dialog is that
the mappings
from Quicken Categories to Gnucash accounts is that the order of choice
is as follows
1. Saved Mappings from previous sessions
2. Similar Accounts from GNUCASH tree
3. New Account
My personal experience from GNUCash 1.3.4-1.3.7 is that it is always the
third option. Even though the ~/.gnucash/qif-accounts-map is in
existence
and seems to have the historical mappings.
Is this the correct operation? Or what could be causing my problems.
I do repetative imports from the same source on a monthly basis. I
would prefer to
only do the mappings once.
