It'll cause less confusion, but won't eliminate it.
I tend to think of "Journal Entries" as being like GnuCash "transactions"
(i.e., a collection of splits that are related and balance). The splits
themselves I tend to think of as "Ledger Entries", since they correspond to
an individual entry in a ledger book.
