I am trying to improve support for investment transactions in German versions of Quicken. The example files I have seen show that the "Action" tags (which are critical for interpreting the file) are localized to German language. However, only a few of the tags are represented in the example files I have and I can't find a list of them on the net. If someone could make a dummy QIF file with a German version of quicken containing one of every possible type of investment transaction and an English memo in the transaction describing which of the following it is, I would be VERY grateful. And gnucash would correctly support your QIF files! The possible action types for English QIF files are: buy, sell, interest income, dividend income, shares in (opening balance), long term and short term capital gains, reinvest dividend, reinvest interest, reinvest long and short term capital gains.
