I've created my own version of the Mandrake guile-1.3.4 package that allows for
painless installing of Mandrake.  I posted a message to this list a while back
(13 Mar) about it.  You can read the archives to find more information.

All I did was modify the spec file to provide libguile.so.4 and make a symbolic
link from libguile.so.4 to libguile.so.6.  It's been working great for me since
I first used it with the early 1.3.* releases.  I'm now up to 1.3.99 w/no
problems. 

If Jeremy wants to make them available at gnucash.org, he can download them
from the links given in the message.
