Interpreting an ambiguous date in the locale format isn't necessarily
the corret choice. My date preferences are set to en_GB (ie
dd/mm/yyyy) but the QIF files from my (UK!) bank are in mm/dd/yyyy
order. In my case the importer guesses correctly, but as Ken says,
there seems to be no mechanism to instruct the importer how to resolve
the ambiguity. Perhaps we need a pop-up with a checkbox in that case?
