Hmmm.  I use Debian, so installing slib is *extremely* easy for me(the
package is called libguile6-slib, and it's part of the main Debian
distribution).  I believe other distributions package it somewhere,
but I'm not sure exactly where.

However, this *is* a faq, so if you check the archives there's
probably a reference to slib installation for your particular
distribution.
