Whats the contents of /opt/gnucash-svn13130/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults? There should be two directories, apps and schemas. Also "grep GCONF_SCHEMAS_INSTALL config.log" in your source directory. Did you rerun configure after updating? What arguments?
