Quoting "John P. New" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

I just clued in to the fact that on a splash screen with the word GNU
and GNU symbols all over the place and displayed as part of software
released under the GPL, we use the words "Open Source" in two places, in
the "tag line" and on the credit card issued by the "International Bank
of Gnu" (should that be "GNU"?).

It's "GnuCash", so.... No.

Shouldn't we make references instead to "Free Software"? Not to start a
political debate, but I think it's important to distinguish between the
two. Besides, we wouldn't want RMS to get upset.

No. RMS will do what RMS will do, and I don't think that we need to
bow down to his wishes. He's really no more special than anyone else.
He just happens to be more vocal, that doesn't make him more correct.

Followups to /dev/null, please.
