One of the examples I was going to mention, http://www.pygtk.org/ turns out to be associated with the mother project after all. If having this be part of GnuCash is consistent with the project's goals, I'd be glad to put in the work needed to merge it in. I naively assumed that python bindings would be viewed as a feeping creature. Feep, feep!
