Good to hear that. Indeed the wiki explanation is almost fully up-to-date explaining what needs to be done. > 2. Webpage and Wiki point to "external" translation being done, rather > than "Translation Project" doing this. Some strings are done > according to table on TP site. Some language teams use the Translation Project (TP), others don't. Also, the TP was a bit slow in recent months, which is why we started to officially discourage using it, but that has probably changed with the new maintainership there. > 3. I do not necessarily want to start from zero. You're asking for the ja.po translation? In that case, the only people you might consider asking are the last translators as mentioned directly in the ja.po file. That's Mitsuo Hamada. However, the last contribution was in 2001. In other words, there is simply nobody at all responsible for the ja.po. As soon as you speak out (as you just did), we gladly consider you responsible for this. Just go ahead and send updated ja.po files here to gnucash-devel, and we'll commit them to our SVN immediately so that they will be in the next release. It is up to you to see whether there is a Japanese Translation Team which might be of any help for you. Maybe they have a team setup on how to review translations, maybe not. You'd have to check this out for yourself. We will simply accept any of your contributions happily. Thanks a lot in advance, and we're looking forward to any files.
