using gda-dev2, r16926, mac os x, and sqlite -- it is definitely  
faster. Just over an hour (vs. 3 or 4 last time I tried) to convert my  
16MB xml to a 7.5MB .db. If I then quit gnucash and restart it, I get  
a bus error while it is trying to read the file it just wrote.
